ADUs: Anti-Displacement Units?
By adding new housing options to the neighborhoods where people most want to live, ADUs are playing a small but growing role in easing the housing crisis so many cities are experiencing. But some local leaders are exploring ways ADUs can do more to address housing barriers facing our cities’ most vulnerable, from low-income renters, to cost-burdened aging homeowners, to families transitioning out of homelessness. Learn about three local efforts to explicitly link ADUs to anti-displacement and housing stabilization goals.
