Biography

David Bikman chairs the steering committee of the Village Coalition, an alliance of housed and unhoused people responding to the housing crisis by building self-governed tiny-house villages and advocating for the legalization of extremely low-cost housing.

David was born in Portland, earned a B.S. in Economics from Portland State University, and studied public and nonprofit management at PSU’s Hatfield School of Government. He’s passionate about experimental architecture, participatory design, and the challenges and rewards of communal living.
