Biography

Emily Lieb manages Oregon Metro’s Equitable Housing Initiative, which is developing regional partnerships and programs that result in more people being able to find a home that meets their needs and income levels. Metro convenes the Build Small Coalition — a group of public, private, and nonprofit partners working together to support research, policy innovation, education/outreach, and new partnerships to expand the role of ADUs and other small homes in our housing market.

Emily has a master’s in urban and regional planning from Portland State University and previously served as a Bloomberg Philanthropies/NYU-Wagner Innovation Fellow in the office of Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, where she managed initiatives on homelessness and infrastructure. She recently converted her detached garage into an ADU to facilitate granny-nanny daycare for her newborn daughter.
