Biography

Margaret Morales is a researcher at Sightline Institute, a non-profit sustainability think tank for Cascadia. She’s been part of Sightline’s housing and urbanism research team for four years. Her work has focused on accessory dwelling units, zoning codes, and how housing policy influences social, economic, and racial dynamics in Seattle and other cities of the Pacific Northwest. In 2019, she helped draft a bill for the Washington legislative session aimed at lifting barriers to ADU construction across the state.
