Biography

Pete Walter has been a planner with City of Oregon City since 2006. He is the city’s Equitable Housing project manager (with consultants Steve Faust of 3J Consulting and Elizabeth Decker of JET Planning) since the project began in 2016, with the goal of removing zoning barriers to missing middle housing for Oregon City. The City recently completed the code amendment process in July 2019, and looks forward to the housing market responding to the greater housing diversity now permitted under the new zoning. Pete holds a Master’s Degree in Community and Regional Planning from the University of Oregon and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Range and Forest Management from Colorado State University. Mr. Walter is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners.
